A little unnerving, but damn does it taste good Re: Coffee & Tea Thread - at0m - 02-19-2010 (02-19-2010, 03:00 PM)Caffeine link Wrote: I got this stuff called Gyokuro, and over the course of about a week and a half, its eaten away all of the old tea deposits that were in my stainless steel mug, like seriously, the bottom of my cup used to be a light brown from all the build up, this stuff turned it a bright shiny good as new silver.Wait, tea that un-teaifies your cup? wat Re: Coffee & Tea Thread - CaffeinePowered - 02-19-2010 (02-19-2010, 05:40 PM)at0m link Wrote:
Wait, tea that un-teaifies your cup? wat
I think its more acidic than normal green tea Re: Coffee & Tea Thread - CaffeinePowered - 02-22-2010 God damnit Re: Coffee & Tea Thread - Surf314 - 02-22-2010 (02-22-2010, 02:59 PM)Caffeine link Wrote: God damnit They are now saying most vitamins are bullshit anyways. Crow - 03-05-2010 I've resorted to caffeine the past 3 days, I am twitching in my damn seat doing production rate calculations. Re: Coffee & Tea Thread - Tricks - 06-22-2010 Most people I work with are just Starbucks fans, so I thought Iâd post this on here instead. Iâm trying to expand out into single-origin coffees. Every day, I grind whole beans and make a drip-brewed coffee. I donât have an espresso machine; however I have looked into getting one since I enjoy Americanos so much. For right now, Iâm looking into finding good single-origin coffees that are: A. Shade Grown B. Sustainable C. Fair Trade My girlfriend had a favorite coffee house in DC that served this brand of coffee that I am going to try first. If you have any other suggestions, let me know http://www.counterculturecoffee.com/subscriptions/single-origin-subscriptions?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=23&category_id=12 http://www.counterculturecoffee.com/coffee/africa Re: Coffee & Tea Thread - Luinbariel - 10-12-2010 I went to some tea store that opened up in my local mall finally. I always thought I hated hot drinks but when I purchased a cute tea pot from work, I figured fuck it, time to give it another shot. I started with some kind of organic jasmine green tea which was nice, but that was stuff from Superstore and I wanted to try something different. So today I picked up some of this: http://www.davidstea.com/rooibos/green-and-fruity This stuff really smells amazing. I thought that it might just kind of taste the same, but after brewing some and having a go at it, this stuff really does taste fruity and good. I could probably even drink this one without honey. I love this place, and next time I'm going to try something different, maybe something with caffeine in it (this one has none and I could use a pick up sometimes). Not a bad price either. I bought a re-usable tin and 50 grams of loose tea for $9. Next time if I bring the tin to be filled I get some kind of discount and it has a nice seal, so my stuff is fresh. Re: Coffee & Tea Thread - Vandamguy - 10-18-2010 Give chai a try, its something my GF turned me on to. Re: Coffee & Tea Thread - k0ala - 10-20-2010 Pu-erh, special aged Chinese tea for lowering fat and cholesterol. Often found in dim sum restaurants to make you feel better about having all that fatty sweet food, like having a Diet Coke with your Extra Large Value Meal. I got some little bricks of it yesterday (2 infusions per serving) and it's helping me get through graveyard shift. Re: Coffee & Tea Thread - CaffeinePowered - 12-10-2010 Re: Coffee & Tea Thread - Stein - 12-10-2010 I wish I used a french press more... I just brew through a cone filter normally. Also, I always drink black coffee, except when I make a [cold] dessert coffee out of left-over coffee from the morning. Re: Coffee & Tea Thread - If-I-Die-Its-Lag - 12-10-2010 Mint tea = best damn tea ever. |
