In Ohio, walking into a gun shop with a concealed carry permit lets you walk out with a gun right then and there.

They usually have 3-5 days. If you don't get an answer, they can release the gun to you. You did the paperwork weeks ago, how do you not have the gun yet?

[/quote]Emphasis is on _can_ release it to me. They're not obligated to do so. The rules in MD say a week, then the weapon can be released, but there's been a run on ex-cons getting weapons that way due to the huge delays related to the handgun law change, so my gun shop in particular posted that they will NOT be releasing weapons until checks come back, which has been taking in the 8-12 week range. I knew that going in, they're covering their ass, which I can respect, but I'd like my chunk of iron plzkthnxbai. Considering they're the only nearby pistol range, I don't really want to piss them off either.

Finally got it, and immediately mounted my red dot and laser just to take a picture, I haven't even read the manual or bought ammo yet.

That's mostly because it's a rifle red dotholo. Bought it on Woot (of all places) along with two hardside cases, that laser and a second laser for my ladyfriend's pistol, and it was marketed as being for pistols but its XBAWKSHUGE so w/e

So I'm going to be buying something new soon. I have a few ideas of what I want to get but I'm not totally sure. I'm either going to build an AR-10/SR25 clone, build out my other AR-15 lower, get an M1A, or some kind of handgun.

You've got plenty of handguns, and don't need another AR-10/15.

Most glaring is you're missing a shotty, and, by my tastes, a nice SMG.

Don't you just lust after an H&K MP5, of any caliber?

I don't have the $20,000 for a true mp5. I could get a shotgun for pheasant. That is a possibility
