Fix your airflow problem or reseat the card.
Um, there is no airflow problem, the side of the case is open, Ive tried every configuration of possible power cables, nothing is stable. Every once in a while Ill get it to boot and stay on, things like TF2 run just fine. Throw it something that takes more juice and it hard locks.
Side of case open IS an airflow problem. I'd reseat everything, and if that doesn't work start pulling stuff out until it works. Because it should. Re: Planetside 2 - Goffin - 11-08-2012 why would I think our PS would have something to do with it. Then close upt he case, I actually have two fans not running because I dont have enough avaliable connectors for them, one of 3 in the front and one of the smaller back fans. I hve an adaptor on order to power the last two fans. Re: Planetside 2 - [fr31ns]Karrde - 11-08-2012 CPU temps look ok? Re: Planetside 2 - Elder - 11-08-2012 i know this is a silly question but could it be your card caff? I know my friend had problems with a top of the line radeon card by pny that would shut down because it was built poorly and overheated with anything less then liquid cooling also got Elder for launch.. i am amazed Re: Planetside 2 - HeK - 11-08-2012 (11-08-2012, 04:24 PM)Elder link Wrote: top of the line radeon card by pny PNY doesn't make a top of any line. I would hope so. The outfits keep on getting wiped every week or two, so there's no use making one at this point.
Yeah I know, that's why I'm asking about release (which is only a couple weeks away now). What kind of sizes are they setup for in this version anyways, or is that stuff even fully implemented yet? I don't recall any limit on Outfit size being stated. But Platoons are currently 4 twelve man teams. I can dream up a more that a few battle plans with 48 people working in unison. Re: Planetside 2 - Didzo - 11-09-2012 I think that sundy spawns should earn you more than just 2 measly points now that there is a 200 meter buffer between deployed sundies. Re: Planetside 2 - Eschatos - 11-09-2012 Well it's been a couple weeks since my last attempt.  Time for another try to see if this is playable. Excellent framerate in sanc, less so when I leave, 10 FPS when I'm actually getting shot at. This has a ways to go before I'll be playing it I'm afraid. Re: Planetside 2 - Trace - 11-09-2012 I'll probably have to build a new rig just to play this :'( Re: Planetside 2 - Kor - 11-09-2012 The ways have been gone. My 6 year old rig gets 40 frames in heavy areas. The game isn't the issue anymore, sounds like your rig is. Just to make the point, a shortened Dxdiag just for reference. ------------------ System Information ------------------ Time of this report: 11/9/2012, 15:13:45    Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_rtm.101119-1850)      Language: English (Regional Setting: English) System Manufacturer: System manufacturer    System Model: P5E-VM DO        BIOS: BIOS Date: 10/11/07 21:43:29 Ver: 08.00.12      Processor: Intel® Core2 Duo CPU  E6550 @ 2.33GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.3GHz       Memory: 6144MB RAM Available OS Memory: 6078MB RAM      Page File: 2450MB used, 9705MB available     Windows Dir: C:\Windows   DirectX Version: DirectX 11 DX Setup Parameters: Not found  User DPI Setting: Using System DPI System DPI Setting: 96 DPI (100 percent)   DWM DPI Scaling: Disabled   DxDiag Version: 6.01.7601.17514 32bit Unicode --------------- Display Devices ---------------      Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260    Manufacturer: NVIDIA      Chip type: GeForce GTX 260      DAC type: Integrated RAMDAC     Device Key: Enum\PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_05E2&SUBSYS_0AC119F1&REV_A1   Display Memory: 3658 MB  Dedicated Memory: 875 MB    Shared Memory: 2783 MB    Current Mode: 1920 x 1080 (32 bit) (59Hz)    Monitor Name: Generic PnP Monitor    Monitor Model: ASUS VH238     Monitor Id: ACI23F9     Native Mode: 1920 x 1080(p) (60.000Hz)     Output Type: DVI     Driver Name: nvd3dumx.dll,nvwgf2umx.dll,nvwgf2umx.dll,nvd3dum,nvwgf2um,nvwgf2um Driver File Version: 9.18.0013.0697 (English)   Driver Version: 9.18.13.697 Re: Planetside 2 - CaffeinePowered - 11-09-2012 (11-09-2012, 12:44 PM)Trace link Wrote: I'll probably have to build a new rig just to play this :'( If you have an Intel you're fine, AMD, you're fucked Re: Planetside 2 - k0ala - 11-09-2012 (11-09-2012, 03:17 PM)Caffeine link Wrote:
If you have an Intel you're fine, AMD, you're fucked
Truth, splurged on an FX-8150 after the last cpu pringled on me, still having trouble. Maybe the release version will fix that shit. |
