Yea so racing mode is meh. It would be substantially better if they stripped out all the movies and made it so you can restart without loading. You try really hard to get a perfect run and then you slip up and its such a hassle to go through loading and all the cutscenes again. That being said it is a lot more enjoyable doing the races than the main story. I just wish you could get rid of the bad guys too. Seriously, they suck.

Wrote my review for Spectacle Rock yesterday, so don't want to say too much, but while time trials is better than speedruns they're still overly harsh despite having several rank levels. One screw up and you might as well start over.

edit: Because I'm sure you'll ask, yes I played the game, no I did not play it through to completion. A friend had it as a rental, and even he didn't keep it for the full duration of the rental. It was that fucking terrible. Really.

Nope, nothing positive at all, and to be honest, most game "critics" suck balls and too many 8s, 9s, and 10s are handed out for fear of pissing off advertisers, if games ever want to be considered an artistic medium like movies, music, or literature they need to get past this and establish a true base of critics. A movie critic isn't going to get fired from a paper for example if he gives a movie one star and they happen to be advertising with them.
Yatzee has liked several things including, The Orange Box (Loved Portal), thought bioshock was alright, but too shallow, same goes for fallout 3. He had his complaints about Zack and Wiki but thought it was ok. He loved Psychonauts and is also a fan of a lot of older games such as Deus Ex, System Shock, Fallout, and Lucas Arts adventure games.
He also has a hard on for PoP Sands of Time, and I can't blame him for that at all. It a shame the later games have sucked balls in comparison to it.

I was never a nay-sayer, and I never said that all he did was complain.All I did was point out the above in bold. He boldly states his opinion, which is why I like him so much. As a matter of fact, he's one who actually recommended Crysis(that one game that a few of us thought was god-awful or ok) which I eventually picked up, tried, pirated, and then stopped because my rig sucks.
I think I got off topic, Â so bottom line: Don't jump to conclusions. It makes you look like an idiot.
