What are you leveling now? I've sort of found that strength to 22 is pretty clutch to use all the good equipment.

I've mainly been going for a high Dex but I noticed too that my str needs to get a bit higher. Plus I want higher Int/Magic so I can actually hurt the Blue dragon more when i fight it besides sitting there for a half hour+ doing 15 damage a hit
And im a soul level of 47 :/

Ouch, I'd hate to say you may need to grind a bit but....I decided to focus on strength from the start and even though I'm only like 30 I'm doing pretty well because I have some badass equipment (especially my shield, I can use the purple flame shield)

Well actually armor wouldn't be the issue in this fight. You need to be quick in order to dodge the dragons flames. My only annoyance is that I need a bit more HP for some breathing room and some int/magic boost so that grinding him down to half health so he flies away doesn't take forever.Â

Your equipment matters more then leveling. The leveling is only used as a buffer, the only real way to get legitimately stronger is to upgrade your stuff.

Not true. I've found many "unique" weapons and so far im still doing great amounts of damage with just my dragon longsword +3 and my magic spells thanks to my high dexterity and magic rating.Â
Granted equipment is important but I think where you put your skills matters more.
Oh and you have my condolences surf. I currently have 20k souls in jeopardy if I don't manage to get to the front of the second phase of the blue dragon.

Found in 2-2 or 2-3 somewhere. It's pretty friggin sweet. Can't wait until I upgrade my mercury estoc though. I just love my piercing weapons

I made a mercury winged spear, I'm kinda wondering now if that was the best decision because I haven't found anything to bump it up from +1

Yeah I forgot what the requirements are to upgrade but according to my nifty guide I got from the special edition version it says some of the prisoners that have spears in 3-1 drop mercury stone and I know you need more of those to improve said weapon.
