Re: Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning (WAR) - Just Kartz - 08-25-2008 I can tell you this, Dave, it doesn't get any better once you hit 60. The only quests you'll get will be Party quests, or "Wanted" quests which wants you to kill stuff that's way above your level. Dx Re: Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning (WAR) - Eschatos - 08-26-2008 While this is here, I might as well announce the classes I'm playing. For Destruction I'm planning to play a healing focused Zealot and for Order a Witch Hunter, though I don't have a mastery plan yet. Anyone know if you're allowed to have characters from both sides on the same server? Also, we'll need to decide on what server type to play on. I want the most hardcore type there is. So far that appears to be Open RVR. Re: Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning (WAR) - Just Kartz - 08-26-2008 I'm going either Magus, Marauder or Black Orc / Shaman here myself. Mixed plans for both the magus/marauder, Black Orc'll be a tank, and the shaman will be Drain Life/Healing specced. Open RvR sounds awesome. Out of curiousity, though, where're you from? Re: Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning (WAR) - Dave - 08-26-2008 daves either: witch hunter or engineer (most likely) then either a black orc 2hand specialist or marauder dps specialist. magic is GAY. America's dick, Florida Re: Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning (WAR) - Just Kartz - 08-26-2008 ... Do'h. Dx We won't be able to play together, then. Re: Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning (WAR) - Just Kartz - 08-26-2008 Awesome. You'll be joining me at a random Open RvR server, then. On the other hand, the two classes you mentioned are both "Order".. I plan on playing Destruction. ;_; Re: Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning (WAR) - Dave - 08-26-2008 (08-26-2008, 05:57 PM)Just Kartz link Wrote: Awesome. You'll be joining me at a random Open RvR server, then. yup. all the good players will be on destruction, since ally are gays in wow, i went hord and pvp was way to easy, this time ill be on the underdog team, last stand against a shitton of orcs and chaos. Re: Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning (WAR) - Just Kartz - 08-26-2008 Hmm.. you do have a point there. Althought I played alliance in WoW. xD (Thus, Destruction seems far more interesting to me.) But I could always roll a random Order alt, and the other way around, eh? I'd go ... Witch Hunter, ... or Iron Breaker. Re: Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning (WAR) - Vandamguy - 08-26-2008 pretty much doesnt matter what class you pick there's a mirror for it on the other faction. runepriest / zealot bright mage / sorceress white lion / squig herder ect.... so your choice comes down to server populations. i would recommend picking the lower of the two factions, faster scenario queues, which will be your primary source of renown points. untill city raids at tier4 , but that's long term. as for comments about developers commitment to their product, i have no doubts. http://www.warhammeralliance.com/forums/showthread.php?t=63427 click it to see devs shittalking themselves , when have you ever seen another company tear themselves up like that? as for comments about Age of conan: hahahah fuck you guys for buying into funcom and their hype. (the classes can be changed to suit other roles, but that is what they are described as.) [/quote] There are small differences, but for the most part the classes are close mirrors. Zealot is actually the closest to pure healer on the entire chaos side. Sorceress has the same "Combustion" mechanic as BM, just with a different name. All I know about the other two is that they're both pet classes, I'm sure there are other similarities. Re: Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning (WAR) - Just Kartz - 08-26-2008 I don't think Magus or Engineer have any 'mirrors', or any class for that matter. Althought some are rather close to resambling to others, there are obvious reasons as of why. (Such as tanks, for example.) Magus's a debuffer as it stands at the moment (from all the forums and videos I've seen so far), and got the lowest ranged DPS available, partially thanks to their pets being totally f***ed up. Althought I'm keeping my hope up for that class, I'm certain they'll fix those issues. As for what Vandamguy said regarding them tearing themselves up, I wouldn't think so. Just look at all the "comments" regarding it. Everyone's happy that they announced these bugs out, and that they're working on them, rather than keeping quiet about the bugs. I really don't mind them announcing it in the way they did. Surely, it was kind of funny to see them announced in such a "easy" kind of way, but.. at least they announced them, and that they'd fix them! :> Re: Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning (WAR) - Benito Mussolini - 08-26-2008 From what I have learned in WoW... The goodies are kids and noobs The baddies are all the rest... I made my choice. Re: Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning (WAR) - El_Fajitas - 08-31-2008 If we can agree on a faction and a server I'll jump on the bandwagon. I don't really pledge allegiance to any faction. :-* :-* Also, can't people on Europe choose a US server, or viceversa? In WoW, you can do so (now with tasty Latin American Servers!). Anyway, if we get this shit together it'd be fun. |
