AMD and Intel are both selling decent quadcores in the general area of $200... Re: Possible Cooling Solutions - cbre88x - 06-24-2008 I'm willing to spend 200ish, but I'll need an AM2+ motherboard. I might wait a little bit and see what the prices do. AMD just released their Barcelona quads..so... Re: Possible Cooling Solutions - Mission Difficult - 06-24-2008 This page has a lot of info on multithreading in gmod, but it's still source so should be the same as tf2. Didn't do much for me but I'm already running a high fps. Might be useful for people that are getting crappy fps and have multiple cores though. Re: Possible Cooling Solutions - Geoff - 06-24-2008 Wait.. how does this work. Wont the oil short everything? Many folks would be surprised to learn that pure water doesn't conduct electricity either, it's just the minerals and shit in your water that conducts the electricity. This is starting to remind me of ch-ch-chemistry. In any case, I knew the oil wouldn't work out. There are too many flaws. It is now between big ass fans and liquid cooling.
