I'd like that, too. Unfortunately, I've no control over that one. It randomly resets itself for no apparent reason and Scotty's the only one who tells me when it's happening

I mostly agree with this, unless the meleer is at a disadvantage. If were equal off, or I'm about to die, I have no problem if my melee duel proposition is rejected, but it's when I clearly have the advantage and go melee to make the battle more sporting, and then are shot in the face, that I get miffed.

It isn't. We just finished up a game where we spent the time as pyros trying to axestinguish people. It's just fun to play the game seriously too.

lol, it's usually situations where I could have easily beat them if I used my gun, but because I tried to even it a bit, I lose.

It sucks, but maybe make a point to do the mic test thingie in the game options? Give you a good idea how loud you're coming through.

Oh come on you can't just impose that rule at will. Also your teammate had the most blatant and freaking hysterical abuse of this rule when he started waving his bottle at me and when I switched to melee to go knock the crap out of him he blew all the stickies he had hidden above the door-frame.
The way I see it if you are going to call melee without getting some support first you should be damn good at it and be able to cope.

Not entirely a coincidence methinks. Nocrits does tend to foster a more mature play style and atmosphere.
