That's why it keys in on shit like people committing suicide, piles of bodies, dude not being able to shoot his zombie wife, etc. It's about being destroyed psychologically and having to rebuild your mindset to a completely different reality at odds with the one you are used to. Anyways that's why I loved it so much, just like the comics it made the whole thing seem more real and intense than the average take on zombies. Re: The Walking Dead - Hobospartan - 11-01-2010 Yeah, go play Left4Dead if you want mindless (heh) zombie gore Re: The Walking Dead - Trace - 11-02-2010 Shit was amazing, can't wait till next week Re: The Walking Dead - Vandamguy - 11-02-2010 will set myself to DL when series is complete. no spoilarz Re: The Walking Dead - Turtle - 11-02-2010 Well now i wanna watch the whole thing Re: Re: The Walking Dead - ainmosni - 11-11-2010 Saw the first two episodes and I'm quite enjoying it. Definitely focuses on the more interesting aspects of the zombie apocalypse. Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk Re: The Walking Dead - Stein - 12-02-2010 Watched the first episode, found it way too gory. I like the part in the city where he climbs up into the tank. That was cool. Does it get less depressing? P.s. I just walked in to a short-haired lady (from the camp) pickaxing her husband's face in over and over again. Yeah, can't eat dessert now... Re: The Walking Dead - Trace - 12-02-2010 Man up dude, it's not that gory   :-* Also I'm hoping this isn't just a miniseries, 6 episodes is pretty short for a season. I want more Re: The Walking Dead - A. Crow - 12-02-2010 it's not that gory, but my GF still needs to be drunk to watch it, which is mildly entertaining. We went through a bottle of vodka last episode. They've got a 13 episode 2nd season planned, but they just fired all the writers. Zombies eating a horse? No problem. Hell, I bet they could run The Human Centipede with minimal censorship and cutting out footage. Re: The Walking Dead - Reevesith - 12-03-2010 Liked what they added intill they strayed away from the end of the first book :/ Re: The Walking Dead - beep beep diglett - 12-03-2010 (12-03-2010, 03:04 AM)Squishy link Wrote: [quote author=Trace link=topic=5112.msg185881#msg185881 date=1291338786]I like that as long as you're not swearing heavily or showing frontal nudity everything is A-OK on AMC. Re: The Walking Dead - Vandamguy - 12-08-2010 has the first season wrapped up now ? i've been waiting to watch them all in a row Re: The Walking Dead - Luca Shoal - 12-08-2010 Yep. I've read up to like, collection 13 or whatever (DC part), and I like how the series is going so far. It's different, sure, but it's going well. Re: The Walking Dead - A. Crow - 12-08-2010 so, watched the season finale tonight (yeah, we DVR them), the GF's comment was, "That sucked, they should have all died and started season 2 with new survivors" I think she's been influenced by L4D. Re: The Walking Dead - Vandamguy - 12-09-2010 watched 1-4 last night , goes by quickly. will post full opinion after 5 and 6 tonight. Re: The Walking Dead - Luinbariel - 12-09-2010 I am angry and pretty much wish this didn't exist at all at this point. |
