You can also tell your parents how helping your little brother build his own computer will [insert BS here]. Honestly that's a pretty big waste, by the time he is old enough to appreciate it it will be terribly obsolete.Who the fuck downloads porn these days? I've asked Caff and Kirby already, but I'm looking for a decent laptop for the my 2nd year at uni. Now, Gaming isn't necessary, as I'm bringing my desktop with me. This laptop will basically serve as a note-taking machine, something that I can bring around with me, can surf the internet, watch some movies, and code java on. My budget is <700 CAN with shipping and taxes in. After a bit of searching, I've found this computer: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16834220693&RandomID=136881421626825420100526200705 It seems to meet all my needs, is under the 700, and as good reviews. My questions are, Is this a good choice? Any bad experiences with Asus Computers? Re: Laptop recommendations - Versus - 05-31-2010 15.6" seems kinda big for just those duties ASUS has been pretty good to me though Re: Laptop recommendations - Vlambo - 05-31-2010 I like the size, I like splitting up my screen into sections for multiple things Re: Laptop recommendations - copulatingduck - 05-31-2010 never underestimate the utility of a larger keyboard as long as it isn't retardedly huge you should be just fine Re: Laptop recommendations - Versus - 05-31-2010 giant keyboards are terrible Re: Laptop recommendations - copulatingduck - 05-31-2010 better than tiny keyboards where i can only use 3 fingers Re: Laptop recommendations - Kirby - 05-31-2010 If you can plzplzplzplz find one w/ at least hyperthreading, dual core if possible.
