Yeah, I was thinking about learning Cammy too, did a couple of her trials.

edit: and pog mosk has a stick.

Re: Street Fighter 4 PC - Wedge - 08-06-2009

Oh I thought holding down/back was obvious, I mean that's been there since SF II.  However my point is more that it feels very difficult to immediately switch between opposite directions on a pad without rolling to them, whereas with a stick it's a very natural movement.  At least to me anyways.

Thats what I figured but if people (versus) were still looking for tips on how to solve it that was the only one I could give.

Also, guess who's grade A now Big Grin

Re: Street Fighter 4 PC - Versus - 08-06-2009

pog mosk obviously

edit: why can't I do gouki/akuma's super or ultra? light punch, light punch, press forward (or backward), light kick, heavy punch. NOTHING HAPPENS.

Re: Street Fighter 4 PC - Squishy3 - 08-07-2009

you have to do it really fast.

Re: Street Fighter 4 PC - Fail Medic - 08-07-2009

Or a USB 2.0 connection into your fucking cerebellum.  I wish the game would give you a time index chart so you'd see when it's *expecting* this input or otherwise it will override the animation here and do the combo.  A rhythm chart.  Doo-doo-doo-hang for a second-DOO, beat, doo-doo-doo.

Now, don't get me wrong, I know the difference between dial-a-combo from Soul Calibur and this, but goddamn.

Re: Street Fighter 4 PC - Squishy3 - 08-07-2009

There's shit way worse than a raging demon. A lot of my Rufus combos are 1-frame links. It's fucking stupid.

Re: Street Fighter 4 PC - Tragic Hero - 08-07-2009

Theres actually a nice trick (intentional or not) to getting some of the hard combos to link.  If you notice when you hit dan (or any other character) a flash runs across the opponents health bar.  If you time the right when the flash hits the end of the health or right when it disappears the hit will usually count in the combo.

Helped me out when I had to link a crouching light punch and a crouching heavy punch together in a combo (Yes I know it sounds easy but try it with Ken in his trial mode).

Re: Street Fighter 4 PC - Versus - 08-09-2009

doing normal trials. completed ryu, ken, akuma, and zangief so far.

edit: fuck, I just remembered I can't do charge characters at all. >:|

Yeah Cammy has something stupid like a MP to CMK that was a bitch to do on it's own in the trials.  I just gave up when I saw her first hard trial had you needing to do that in the middle of a combo.  I guess I can see why the game has caught on with the hardcore crowd, it's full of brutal timing for things that I have no intent of ever trying to learn.  Luckily it's still highly playable without ever having to do that stuff.

For the life of me, I can't pull of 'gief's super/ultra :<

dunno if this came up already but have you tried to do the 360 (x2) in mid air while jumping towards the target and then hitting the button on landing?

I have not, but that sounds like it will work perfectly!

That's the only way I can pull it off.

Re: Street Fighter 4 PC - Squishy3 - 08-09-2009

That's the only way to pull it off without buffering it. IE: throw a punch, do a 720. backdash, do a 720.

Re: Street Fighter 4 PC - Versus - 08-09-2009

yeah. works for akuma's ultra and super too. I realized what I was doing wrong with his ultra, and it's kinda embarrassing :<
