BRBU ACEN survival guide (not the full guidebook app) should be done by tonight. In the meantime, what's the status on the GroupMe? Is Evilcheese still able to run that, or should we get someone on it? My memories of it are a little fuzzy.

If you need any earplugs don't hesitate to ask me. I have a drawer full of them that I "borrowed" from work. They're right next to my other personal protective equipment that I don't use.

I'm glad this is in there because I was going to bring enough for everyone. Now I don't have to. I still want to re-iterate it, though, because two of my group can/will wake the dead with their unique nighttime soundtracks

Group Me is super easy to set up. You just need the app (which is free) and the participants phone numbers. Might want to set up two groups this year one for group information only (Where are you guys?/we're going to xxxx/we're meeting up in xxxx minutes) and the other one for talking and making stupid comments.

We were discussing that, only problem with that idea is that someone subscribed to both will still get saturated with text messages. Still, it gives people the option of just ignoring or unsubscribing from the shithouse one

Sorry, I didn't realize you guys were still waiting on me. I can definitely set up a second GroupMe. I'd suggest we keep the current one as the shithouse one and then I'll create a new one for announcements only. I need contact info (phone number or email address) for at least each room organizer then they can either add their roommates or forward their roommates' contact info to me and I'll add them. For those who don't know, GroupMe works in two ways. If you have a smartphone you can use the GroupMe app to send an receive messages to the group via mobile data. The app is also the easiest method to administrate and add new people to the group. The second way GroupMe can work is via text message. Each group gets assigned a phone number and if you send a text to that number it gets relayed to the rest of the group. Certain commands can be sent via text, but it's a bit more cumbersome to administrate compared to the app.
I'll go ahead and setup the group and add the few people I still have.

Also, I'm hoping to have the BRBU guidebook out in 1-2 days. We need to talk about the possibility of a chicago convoy, and I'm still missing contact info for maybe half of people. I don't necessarily need a phone number, but a name would be nice. Check the room assignments document to see if I have your info or not.
EDIT: Damn, the ACEN guide made most of my app obsolete or pointless. Looks like it'll be mostly a member directory.
