Melee and unarmed are broken from about level 3. All you need to do is get a mid-range or better weapon and some decent combat/metal/power armor it is over. [/quote] i dunno, that's like saying f2 is an easy game because you went through the hoops (went to san fran and got the quest to mark the navvaro on your map) to get power armor at level 2, yeah you can break the game by getting a high level weapon early, and since it's more dependant on the persons skills rather than the player char, you can fuck shit up, but that doesn't make the skill inherently broken. Re: Fallout: New Vegas - KorJax - 11-19-2010 So since I will no longer be able to buy/play the new assassins creed game, I'm thinking about getting this as an alternative, but doubt I'll like it. I really didn't care too much for Fallout 3 and really couldn't get into it too well. I guess the setting and how the gameplay played out overall, was too hard for me to get drawn into it. I hear the dialog, quests, and etc are much better in this game but I worry that I'll not really like it overall and get bored quick. Mostly due to how it might play out and due to me not really caring too much about the setting in F3 (as those are two things in NV that look pretty identical to F3). Should I still get? :-\ Oh, I should mention that I pretty much got Fallout 3 on release so if there are some amazin' mods for new vegas that make the game MUST HAVE now would be a good time to say Re: Fallout: New Vegas - CaffeinePowered - 11-19-2010 (11-19-2010, 01:23 AM)KorJax link Wrote: So since I will no longer be able to buy/play the new assassins creed game, I'm thinking about getting this as an alternative, but doubt I'll like it. If you hated 3 but liked the old games, odds are you will like this Re: Fallout: New Vegas - Mission Difficult - 11-19-2010 The voice acting is much better in this than probably any game Bethesda has made. Probably because they decided to hire more than three people to do it. Not only did they hire more people, they paid for some bigger names to do it (Wayne Newton, Matthew Perry, Kris Kristofferson, Dave Foley, Danny Trejo.) Re: Fallout: New Vegas - KorJax - 11-19-2010 I didn't like the old games... though I only spent a couple of hours on Fallout 1 so my opinion on my liking of them isn't super valid. And I didn't like FO1 because of how dated it felt/played and how unintuitive it felt. Just was super slow and hard for me to get into. Granted I first tried it out last year, and on an 800x480 netbook, without any kind of real manual. The concepts such as being able to talk your way through the game and making meaningful choices that FO1 supposidly has are things I dig though. Re: Fallout: New Vegas - beep beep diglett - 11-19-2010 i know someone is gonna hate me for this, but 1/2 have some of the worst, most impenetrable combat in any game ever. this is basically a fps combat-wise, so it's much better imo. Re: Fallout: New Vegas - Maxon - 11-19-2010 I don't agree that this game is that much different from Fallout 3.  The Dialogue, missions, and story stuff might be abit better, but it's still basically Fallout 3 with a little more variety to the guns/ammo and you can shoot guys properly out of VATS.  Of course I say this as someone that tried the original 2 Fallout games and hated the experience, but as someone that liked 3, I got more of what I wanted to play, so I liked it. Yup, this I agree with. Sure it's now an outdated game, but I couldn't even see myself playing that when it was first released.
