Re: ACEN 2013 Travel & Accommodations Thread - TOH - 04-11-2013 Badge get. Re: ACEN 2013 Travel & Accommodations Thread - Evil Cheese - 04-11-2013 Bingo. Re: ACEN 2013 Travel & Accommodations Thread - Versus - 04-12-2013 mine arrived at my parents' house Re: ACEN 2013 Travel & Accommodations Thread - zaneyard - 04-12-2013 Got my new sleeping pad and compressible pillow Few pics on here First thoughts, both of them are very compact when compressed. Didn't take long for either to expand to full size. Had to blow up the mat a little bit and I'm letting it sit for a while to see how well it expands by itself by ACEN. The pad is also very comfortable. Honestly, this probably gives better support than my mattress (although my mattress is a pile of shit so that's not saying much). I got the long size, I could have probably got away with the regular, but the price difference was insignificant so I went for the bigger size just in case. I could easily see using this as a camping accessory in the future. If it holds up I give it a strong recommendation to anyone looking for a mid price sleeping mat. Good for the floor-destined con-sleeper or outdoor camping combined with a tent and possibly a cot. Re: ACEN 2013 Travel & Accommodations Thread - at0m - 04-13-2013 I have not yet received mine. Re: ACEN 2013 Travel & Accommodations Thread - k0ala - 04-13-2013 See the fml thread... Re: ACEN 2013 Travel & Accommodations Thread - Gasman - 04-15-2013 Wait, wait, wait. You can add a clan tag to your badge? I feel blind for not seeing that =/ Re: ACEN 2013 Travel & Accommodations Thread - The Generic Name - 04-18-2013 Can someone bring a boombox?  I feel the need to walk around wearing shades and a trenchcoat blasting random hits of the 70s and 80s. also need a trenchcoat Re: ACEN 2013 Travel & Accommodations Thread - Greatbacon - 04-18-2013 Pretty sure my badge arrived at my dad's place, but can't confirm with my own eyes till I get back in the states. No idea how much the shuttle is, but you'll probably have to take the O'hare tram to the kiss n' fly lot. I'd personally just burn the $2.25 and take the blue line. Hit me up on mumble if you need specific explanations. I will have a car there, but parking's already awful in the early evening on Thursday. I'd prefer to let it sit. Re: ACEN 2013 Travel & Accommodations Thread - kaese - 04-21-2013 Just take the Hyatt (Regency blah blah, don't take the wrong one hehe) hotel shuttle bus. It's free and runs very frequently. There is no reason not to take it if you're arriving by bus to O'Hare since you'll arrive in the bus/shuttle area. |
