Once the SDK comes out, there will be a mall map ready for release.  Seen some pictures and it looks nice.  Have to see how it plays though lol

And yes, anything ED is win.

Last safe house is the pub, where you go to wait for all of it just to blow over

surf negate and myself were on IRC this afternoon and we brainstormed that there needs to be a zmbie defense map where you are basicaly stuck on a tower or something , and have wave after warve of zombots come at you , with special rounds of boss zombies thrown in for good times

Gears 2 Horde mode?

For left 4 dead, I want some movable and destructible furniture (Zombie panic!) to barricade the doors, like file cabinets, shelving, bureaus. Something with 25-100 HP (depending on item) to slow the zerg down a bit, but not so much it lets you camp for too long.  Also, something wide enough that you can't melee through it to keep the zombies back: this way, either you use the melee meat shield method or you barricade the door and are forced to rely on weapons.

Unlike Zombie Panic, the furniture should not be unanchored and subject to physics.  Rather, you would just need to hold down the use button to engage the animation sequence to move the furniture to the doorway.  Not much different than current Door mechanics. Imagine a file cabinet next to the door, you hold 'use' and you drag it in place. While you are dragging, you can't switch off weapons, so you need to be defended. Larger furniture could require more than 1 person to move. Imagine all 4 characters moving a dumpster into place for Tank defense, then firing wildly to try to kill it before it breaks through...that would beat the burn and run nonsense.

It doesn't work half the time anyways. It's a waste of time when you could be putting bullets into it and killing it in 15-30 seconds.

On expert the tank has 8,000 HP or 40 seconds of being on fire.  Unless your whole team is green and can run your fastest and is in a location well suited to dodging the tank the fire will usually kill the tank before the bullets.  But if you all have auto shotties and unload in its face you can take it out sooner, but then your whole team will have auto shotties and won't be able to kill that smoker.

thats some great idea , but would require a pretty hefty modification to the game code :/
